The Colorado Shines QRIS Cost Estimation Model is an interactive tool that estimates the cost necessary to improve quality, based on the state’s new Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS). The categories and data elements of the tool are based on the version of the new QRIS available during the summer of 2014. The tool estimates both the points received and estimated cost to improve quality. The tool uses the logic embedded within the QRIS to determine the relationship between points received in each category and resulting quality rating.
